Today Caleb is nine months old! It's so hard to believe at times. It seems like we just brought him home and he should still be itty bitty. We went to the doctor today for his regular check up and things went very well! Our big boy weighs twenty-two pounds and three ounces. He has almost grown five inches since his six month check up! He's 31.75 inches tall and will be more than ready to play football in a couple of years. Ha! The doctor gave us the okay to pretty much feed him whatever we eat, just in small pieces. Ryan and I are looking forward to introducing Caleb to all kinds of food. Our doctor said that Caleb is measuring about the size of a one year old now and progressing really well as far as development goes. I'm so thankful for the many blessings God has given to us, but I will be forever grateful for giving us a healthy child to love. I try to remember just how fortunate we are.
I believe we are finally getting adjusted to Caleb's mobility. We all have gone to bed worn out this week! Caleb definitely uses a lot of energy getting around and Ryan and I use tons chasing after him. Most mornings we have woken up and felt like we just went to bed....
I have had two people ask me when we're having another child. I keep thinking to myself about how much energy it takes to raise one child. Then take into consideration the huge amounts of money! I can't imagine raising one child while growing another. That's the equivalence of insanity to me! I understand loving babies and all, but why would someone do that to themselves? Let my body try to heal a bit from this kiddo first!
Tonight I plan to kick back after dinner and watch the first episode of the season of Orange County Choppers with my hubby....Gotta get started!
