I swear I'll smack the first person who says something witty like "make another beautiful child"!
Ryan and I do enjoy a life outside of raising a fiery little toddler!
(Speaking of that, Ryan does say it gets worse...Heaven help me!)
All joking aside, will the day come where we actually don't have a project? Could we seriously just sit together and enjoy the things around us? What are we as a couple if we're not doing some sort of crazy renovation? Do we sit there and just stare at each other? Do we start fights just to have something to do? Ha! Is there some form of nirvana we will experience when one day we look at each other and say "It is done" ? Are we the type of people never satisfied by just letting things be? Is this why we're sluggish about actually bringing it all to a close?
Oh, the deep thoughts of renovation realities just keep coming....
By the time it's all said and done we could very well be experts. We could get our own DIY show fixing other people's messes....
How I laugh at my insane humor today!
Yes, I do believe that is exactly what all of these projects have brought me: Insanity!
Deep down in my gut, I just know it's never going to stop. There will always be one of us saying "You know what would work soooo much better?" We can't help ourselves. We're overachievers. It's almost disgusting.
I married my renovation twin and didn't know it until it was way too late.
We're driven by remodeling impulses and someone should donate some sort of therapy. That's really our only hope for the next 50, 60, whatever years of marriage...
