One of the blogs I follow (Living on Love and Cents) posted the following today:
"Living on Love and Cents and Flutterbys and Frogs have joined together to bring you something new. I hope you will join us! One of my resolutions is to spend more time in the reading the bible (in the word). So I thought it would be great to share with my readers once a week and have you share your time "in the word" as well. Every Wednesday we will post my "Women in the Word Fellowship on Wednesday" Post. There is a linky at the end and we would love to have you join us. You do NOT have to post a devotion, scripture or anything unless you want. If you have words of encouragement or a devotion post to link up that would be awesome!(But not required!) If you are a "Woman in the Word" and would like to find other Christian Bloggers --link up! Please grab the linky code and button and spread the word about our fellowship! I am looking forward to our fellowship! I hope we can all encourage one another each week!"
I thought it would be a perfect opportunity to join a group of women who focus on the Bible and learning God's word! I am really excited and look forward to following along. Living on Love and Cents focused on viewing each day as a precious gift from the Lord:
"Today is a GIFT FROM GOD! What will you do with it?
Will I open it with JOY?
Will I open it with worry?
Will I open it hopeful?
Will I open it with anger?
So that is my goal! View each day as a gift from God! And how should I accept such an awesome gift?
With JOY, LOVE, and HOPE!
"Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. " James 1:17"
I think we all tend to take each day for granted. We get so wrapped up in the every day parts of life....taking care of kids, going to work, cleaning the house, and trying to fit a husband in there as we can. When you step back from all the chaos and look at the days that just fly by, you realize that God has given you such a gift. Every day I get to wake up beside my sweet hubby, spend time with a beautiful little boy, and work at a job that brings me a lot of happiness and gives me a chance to be with my family. What I should be doing is thanking God over and over that he has blessed me with a wonderful family and provided me a job. Life isn't always tied with a bow, but it is still a gift! Today is a day the Lord has given us! It's absolutely special!
