Show Us Your Life: Your Church

I'm joining everyone over at Kelly's Korner for her Show Us Your Life series. Today is something I'm extra excited about! I get to show all of you where we've been going to church.

Ryan's parents have been members at Bayside Baptist Church for years and they asked us to try it out with them this past Fall. Since we work on Sundays, Ryan and I decided that we could make it to the early service at 8 in the mornings. Bayside can feel like a huge place (which it totally is), but the earlier service is much smaller. One complaint I always had in a large church is that most people would never even notice if you missed a service. I was afraid I would find that at Bayside, but we were pretty surprised. Not only did Ryan's parents notice, but friends we made along the way did as well. There would be times I'd get an email from someone who didn't see us there. It's such a small thing, but it meant a lot to us!

Recently we've found a small groups class that we just love! There are about eight to ten regular couples in the class and they are all around our age. They all have children so we automatically had things in common. To be honest with you, this was the most genuinely sweet, down to earth group of people I'd ever met in a church. Just spend an hour talking with them and you can tell how much they love the Lord. They have welcomed us with open arms and we look forward to spending Sunday mornings there.

Caleb absolutely loves going to the nursery on Sunday mornings. Everyone is so sweet and loving towards him and he enjoys having so many people pay attention to him!
