Pool Time

I cannot even begin to tell you how much we are enjoying the pool we got Caleb!
I apologize for the picture quality! There's no way I'm taking my Nikon anywhere near it!
Playing chase with Daddy is always fun!

My child is obsessed with this duck....
He's crazy about this turtle too!
He says "See?" to just about everything right now...

Picture time with Hubby!
I think Ryan's as excited about the pool as Caleb is....

Someone is jealous!
He tried to climb in between us and give kisses....
Ryan and I cannot hug or kiss without him thinking he can climb between us and participate!
(Yep, that's my child licking my nose)
Hugging and Posing with Mommy!
Caleb is learning to swim. I have been working with him by showing him how to move his arms and kick his legs. I have read several articles that say children can begin to learn at around 18 months. Since Caleb turned 19 months this weekend, I think it's time to start. Personally I don't expect much because I have never seen a swimming 20 month old, but I think we can atleast begin the basics. I lay him across my arms belly down and let him practice kicking his legs. He usually lets me do this for about 30 seconds at a time and then he's ready to do something else, but we are moving in the right direction! He already knows he must have his swimmy wings on before getting in the pool. I thought they would annoy him at first, but he really doesn't seem to mind at all. They are rated for children over three, but Caleb's very big for his age. We also use them with the knowledge that we are to stay with him like a hawk! One of us is within arm's distance at all times.

One bonus to having a pool: it wears that boy out before he can wear me down!
Ha!
