Road Trip, Tellico, and American Idol

This family of three became a happy family of five this weekend. On Thursday evening, we dropped Caleb off with his Nana and Pappy. Hubby and I loaded into the car and headed towards Virginia to pick up my stepkids. We left early so we could take plenty of breaks for my back and stop by a few antique stores.

For Father's Day Ryan received a couple of CD's featuring Chip Ingram. We listened to them for a bit and really had a chance to talk about some amazing issues concerning our family. We would recommend this for any father that wants to focus on God's will for his family.

Ryan and I really enjoyed the road trip together and the chance to spend some time together. When we got to the Tennessee state line we stopped for the night. My sweetie surprised me by getting us a big room with a jacuzzi tub. It was the perfect way to end our evening together....

Ready to shop for antiques!!!

On Friday night we arrived in Tellico...past ready to all be together!
Today we enjoyed the golfcart...

Took a walk to the river together...

And the kids were surprised by a visit from Nana, Pappy, and Granny!
We had a nice big lunch and took Nana and Pappy to visit the Tellico Hatchery...

Caleb was all about seeing the fish!

And following brother and sister around....

Bryce showed Caleb all the big trout...

This is the best picture we could get of the three of them so far....
Caleb just wasn't having it...

Obviously it was time for a nap...

The beautiful Tellico River

Then we came back to have some watermelon...

And yummy smores!

He's just too cute!

Ooey gooey mess....
We got home a little bit ago and showed the kids their surprise...
Bryce was so excited!
He said his favorite part was the pillow with a "D" on it for our last name.

We were at the latest Del Signore concert....Very entertaining....

And then someone took over....

I think he just might be a future American Idol....
He was singing to "Lean On Me"....seriously adorable!

And for a dramatic ending....
Needless to say, he crashed pretty hard tonight!
