Ryan and I had been trying to have a baby so we
When we got home it was fairly late in the evening, so I started getting ready for bed.
Take out my contacts....wash my face....pee on a stick.....
Ryan was downstairs in the garage and I left the test lying in the bathroom since it supposedly takes 10 minutes for full results. Okay, I totally admit I didn't wait the full ten minutes. Didn't have to....
Within a couple of minutes I saw a dark pink line and then a second faint one. By this time my heart was skipping a couple of beats. I carefully read over the directions and then I Googled what a very faint line meant. Was it a bad test since it really didn't show well???? Maybe I should have bought a more expensive brand???
I ran to the garage and held up my stick. I was freaking out because I just knew the test was bad. Ryan agreed that maybe we should just do another one. I kept remembering that everything I read said that you should test first thing in the morning because the hormones are in highest concentration then. Um, it was getting pretty late and there was no way I was sleeping before I found out!
So I drank A LOT of water....and waited....
Another test revealed the same thing....VERY faint second line. Like, if you squint your eyes you can see it.
Now I was spazzing out.....I just knew both tests were bad and it was just a sick joke. I pleaded with my hubby to pee on the remaining stick himself. (Seriously) I knew it would also show a very faint line and all of my crazy suspicions about bad preganancy tests would be confirmed. Ryan looked at me like I had lost my mind and said, "Wendy, I just can't bring myself to do that in front of you....Go to bed." Defeated, I went to bed knowing that I just wasn't pregnant.
The next morning I woke up and started getting ready for work. Lying next to my two "false" pregnancy tests was Ryan's negative test... Ryan actually got to break the news to me!
