Past...Present...Future

So I haven't had any more weight loss progress, but I am hanging in there. My weight is still the same since the last time I posted about it. I am encouraged though...

When I posted about my hair cut and compared pictures with last year, it really struck me how different I am. I guess you don't realize how out of control your weight issue was until you look back. It's sad because I had no idea I looked that horrible. Kinda makes me wonder if I will look back on today's pictures with the same attitude. We'll see when I get there, I guess.

Man, I've seriously looked horrible for a couple of years....Right???

This picture below is the picture that made the difference...My child turned two and I looked awful in every single picture on his special day. I realized that things had gotten so out of hand.

So November 2011, I decided to make some changes with the way I was treating my body. I deserved better. My husband deserved better and my child sure as heck did. It hasn't been easy, but it is oh-so rewarding.
I'm a little over half way to my goal and here I am now...

If you're stopping by because you have some weight to lose too, I want to be the first to tell you that you absolutely can do it. It's not easy. There's no quick miracle plan to lose forty pounds in a week. It takes determination, time, and a whole lot of will power to do it. You have to get to the point that you are ready to make a change. No one out there can do this for you. It is absolutely worth every single effort you put into it.   Make a smaller goal of losing ten pounds. When you reach that goal and it wasn't worth every struggle to get to that point, by all means quit. If it was worth it, set another ten pound goal and remember how great you felt with you made it to the first mark. Take before and after pictures...Right there is your pay off! It gives you a sense of accomplishment, ambition, and confidence to keep going!

Do you want to see my final goal? What I'll look like when I finish my last 27 pounds?

So that's what I'm shooting for. Stick around...I'll get there.
