Stay-cation 2012

Life is slowly returning to normal this week! Ryan and I took a vacation last week with the kids and we had a blast. Chattanooga is an amazing city and we had plenty to do there. It was nice not traveling this year even though we really missed the beach this time. This is the first time we've played the tourists in our hometown...

We took the kids to an inflatable jump place to wear themselves out. I can probably group my husband into the "kids who wore themselves out" category. He played as hard as they did! I worried that we'd get kicked out at some point. Caleb absolutely loved it....

All week he was just the sweetest little thing. He was such a joy to spend time with.

Caleb loved sliding....So did Ryan!

I am constantly amazed at how fearless he is...

Madison and Caleb were stuck like glue! They are best buddies....

We went to the IMAX and later played on the water steps near the aquarium.

I love this picture of Madison. She's so pretty!

Caleb was all about getting his picture taken this week!

I think this is one of my favorite pictures so far! The riverfront was the perfect backdrop....

We ended up riding go-karts and bumper boats last week. Caleb was finally big enough to ride and he loved it. Bryce and I were the only ones who cared to try out the batting cages. He went first and did pretty well. When he was finished, he looked at me like I was crazy for even trying to hit a baseball. I stepped in and hit all but three. I watched my stepson become completely amazed at my batting skills....along with his daddy. Neither one knew I had it in me.... Ha! They should learn to never underestimate me...

Our picture from the Georgia Aquarium also came in last week. It turned out great! It's tough getting a family picture when you have a toddler who doesn't exactly cooperate at all times...

Ryan and I celebrated our anniversary last week and we had a mariner's meeting on Thursday evening aboard the Delta Queen riverboat. It was unbelievably hot, but we took a tour of the engine and boiler rooms aboard it. Absolutely fascinating! They've turned the Delta Queen into a hotel, so if you're in the area it's worth checking out.

We had such a nice dinner together and spent the evening with friends.

The last day of vacation was spent cleaning the house. I enjoyed spending some time to myself completely involved with my obsession! The house smelled amazing after I finished and the kids are ready to mess it up again...
