I've been MIA for a few days, friends. I kept some notes on my "Eat Your Heart Out" plan, but I wasn't that successful with sticking to it very closely.
Day 18: Eat all the veggies and fruits you want. I was fairly successful until I had movie night with a friend. She had not been to the movies in years, so we splurged on popcorn. I just couldn't help myself.
Day 19: Bananas and yogurt. Now this was my kinda day! I could probably stick with those two foods for a week! I noticed that I had been a little moody on days 2 & 3, but felt better after the banana and yogurt day.
Day 20: I have to admit....I totally messed this day up! My family had a big get together in Tellico, so I ate. I ate smaller portions of everything than I normally did, so it wasn't too out of control!
Days 21 & 22: I just couldn't get back on track at this point, so I decided to just eat plenty of salads!
So, there was my attempt. Sure, I could have tried a lot harder but it's hard having a busy family. Right now I'm trying my best to take care of myself while spending quality time enjoying my sweet friends and family. If I wanted to obsess about the numbers on the scale then I would have been a lot tougher on myself. I could still see myself tackling this eating plan another week once things are a little calmer, but I don't think it's going to happen right now.
For Day 23, my daily advice is to learn how to balance. You're not always going to be able to go to the gym for two hours a day when you've got a family to take care of. You're not always going to have the time, energy or money to eat the healthiest, best foods around. While you're changing your body and making yourself healthier, you must realize that it's not going to happen overnight. Life gets in the way sometimes, but you can't let it steer you off track.
