Sweet Littles

I love this time of year with Caleb and Zoey! They're at such a fun age and everything seems so much more exciting.

The love copying each other...

Zoey posed with Granny and it was just precious!

Granddaddy was opening Caleb's new toy and someone was a little curious...

I love this picture of Mom and Debbie. I see so many laughs between these two and I hardly get the chance to capture it on camera. They have such a sweet friendship....

We tried to get a picture of the girls, but Caleb photobombed it!

At least we got a few good ones from the evening!

I am beyond flattered that a couple of my blog readers and several friends have taken the time to nominate me for two different 2012 WEGO Health Activist awards! For those of you who took the time to nominate my little blog, thank you so very much. It really means a lot to me.

I have read a couple of the kind comments that went along with two of the nominations. When I began documenting my weight loss progress and then decided to do a month long weight loss series, I never thought it would reach so many of you. I wanted to show you that no matter how long you've struggled with your weight, you can still change it. I was two years postpartum and the heaviest I had ever been in my life. You have watched me struggle and then finally succeed this past year. I have had the most wonderful, supportive cheerleaders helping me along the way.

If you are just joining me, you can read about my journey HERE

If you'd like to read my favorite weight loss tips that I shared during my month long series, you can click HERE.

Our Pretty Girl

We celebrated my sweet niece's birthday this week! She's turning three and is just absolutely precious to us. Her parents wanted to have the party at the same place we had Caleb's and the kids just loved playing. My mom and I jumped in too and they thought it was hilarious. I've never seen Caleb and Zoey laugh so hard. They were just a little too short to reach a couple of things so we helped them out...

Ryan enjoyed playing with the kids too!
It's still hard to believe Caleb and Zoey were born five weeks apart. She is so petite compared to him!

Why, yes, that is my mother coming down a slide...She's a wild woman.

I'm still a kid at heart. That's probably why I enjoy being a boy mom so very much!

My mom made Zoey a Minnie Mouse cake for her birthday and it was so amazingly good!

One certain child was upset because he didn't understand that it wasn't his birthday. The poor thing wanted to help Zoey blow out the candles so badly...and open Zoey's gifts.

I absolutely love this picture of Brian and Zoey! She is just precious to all of us. My brother has been a daddy for three years now and they are the best of friends. They adore each other!

Rock City, Baby

Rock City's Garden of Lights has always been near and dear to my heart. When I was pregnant with Caleb I dreamed of the special moments of taking him to see Christmas lights. I looked forward to sharing things like that with him. Now that he's older, we can have so much fun with it! I looked back at our Rock City trip from last year (HERE) and still cannot believe how much we've changed in the past year.

Caleb absolutely loved the snowman this year. He talked with him a few times during the night.

I always get a picture in front of this tree. What a difference a year makes...

Crazy, right?!?

Caleb was actually pretty good about all the pictures last night. Normally he resists, but I think he was too distracted to care....

He is very interested in nativity scenes this year. Every time he sees one he says, "I love baby Jesus!"

I had to get this picture last night! We went through Fat Man's Squeeze and I have never been able to pass through without turning sideways....until last night! I actually walked straight through and I was ecstatic! Ryan is broad in the shoulders and he even had to turn. I kept saying, "I fit!"

I love his little face here. Caleb was trying to explain something to his daddy...

I've always loved this giant star. You can see it from the road when you come up the mountain. Always so pretty!

This is a picture of Chattanooga. I think we have one of the prettiest cities in the nation. I absolutely love living here.

For a real blast from the past, this is our very first Christmas together five years ago....

We had the best time this year. This is the first year I didn't have to carry Caleb through it and we enjoyed it so much more. I love this age with Caleb because we get to enjoy this season so much more. I love sharing the excitement and wonder with him. Ryan and I get to be kids again with Caleb.
