Our church is making a new church directory of all the members. The incentive for going to get your picture taken was a free family portrait. We were fortunate enough to be able to get several good shots of wild child.
Poor little Caleb was right in the middle of the sickest he had ever been, but he did great considering. The photographer made the mistake of getting him wound up, but in the end we had some great pictures out of it.
When it was time for all of us to get a quick picture, Caleb was pretty wild. He tried to climb the backdrop and it came tumbling down on all of us. I was honestly horrified, but what do you expect from a 3 year old that has three medicines running through his system all containing red dye??? I'm slowly learning to grin and bear it when things get out of control...What else can you do?
This picture represents us pretty well at this stage in our lives. My mother-in-law is calm and collected, my father-in-law has that deer in the headlights look while trying to contain the constant wild child, my husband wears that half grin while wondering how much longer we have to endure this unruly toddler behavior, Caleb's oblivious to the looks he gets while unleashing everything his three year old body has while laughing uncontrollably, and I'm there smiling through it all wishing just once that my hair would survive that child!
I know these crazy times will pass us by in an instant. I love Caleb's personality, even the trying parts. Bless his little heart....He is just like his sweet daddy. Both of my boys are wild, energetic, and creative. I love them dearly. I wouldn't change Ryan or Caleb for anything in the world!
