My stepchildren spent this Christmas with us and we were so happy to have them with us. On Christmas Eve, we went to our church's candlelight service. Every year we attempt this with Caleb and have never had any success. Usually we fight with him until he acts out and I take him out kicking and screaming. We almost dreaded it this year. It was sketchy at some points, but he made it through for the first time this year! Praise the Lord!!! He tried to sing and he was really the cutest thing.
When we got home, I was able to get a few pictures of us together.
We baked sugar cookies for Santa. All of the kids loved it and did an awesome job!
Last year, we never got past the dough part so this was quite an accomplishment!
Our living room was covered with presents.
We woke up early Christmas morning to see what Santa left....Caleb was so excited!!!
This year I think he found joy in just opening the gifts. He was really into it.
We then went to my parents' house to open more gifts. Caleb had begged for two whole months to have a tool bench from Santa. It turns out that Santa left it at their house....Big shock, right?
Zoey loved it all too! The kids had the best time!
After a big breakfast, we went to Ryan's parents' house and had a big lunch and more presents.
This year Ryan got a new Jeep engine and I got an elliptical to help reach my goal! Ryan also got me a necklace with Caleb's birthstone in it. I felt so spoiled!
