Welcoming the New Year

Ryan and I have always spent our New Year's Eves at home. We prefer to stay in and avoid all the crazy people in the world for that one night. Since having Caleb, we really have been fairly tame.

We have two sweet friends who we enjoy spending time with and they invited us to hang out with them this year. Luckily Ryan's parents were willing to keep Caleb for us so we could go out.

After spending the entire week with the family, Ryan and I were so excited to spend some time together.

Ryan and I had dinner at Logan's Roadhouse....which was soooo good! I had a steak and it was great.

We then met up with our friends at The Comedy Catch.

I don't remember the last time I had laughed so hard! The comedians were very entertaining.

Party hats and noise makers were handing out a few minutes before midnight....and for some reason my husband thought it would be a great idea to model his silly looking hat. I thought he fit in great with some of the other party goers around us....

I'm excited about what this new year holds for all of this. I've looked back over the past year and it sure hasn't been an easy one for my family. But, we have drawn closer to the Lord and have learned to see His blessings during the hard parts of life. My family has suffered through a tornado, I was diagnosed with vitiligo, we lost my Uncle Steve and several friends of the family. Through it all, the Lord has provided every single time and taught me so very much. I am praying for a year filled with happiness and joy for my family and our friends.
