Our Easter weekend was packed full of family time! We were able to share this weekend with those we love.
On Saturday morning, we were up bright and early! We stopped to grab breakfast before heading out to hunt eggs at our church. Our church provided cookies for the little ones to decorate while they waited. Caleb was so excited to have a cookie before lunch. Ha!
The little kids get to hunt for eggs on the baseball field. Zoey and Caleb were just too precious!
Caleb did so much better grabbing eggs this year. And he actually cooperated for pictures!
We went to Nana and Pa's house to have our Easter lunch. Caleb loved his basket that he got there. He got a cool flashlight, new sunglasses and a grabber. There was also some Peep Overload...
No day at Nana and Pa's is complete without a Jeep ride.
I love his little expressions!
For Easter dinner, my family came over. The kids were wound up from plenty of sugar!
My family has had such a beautiful Easter. We are so very blessed to have one another!
When I looked at the picture counter on my camera Sunday evening, I realized that in two days I was able to take 517 pictures. I was searching for just the right pictures to capture the beauty of one of my favorite holidays. Still, not one of those 517 pictures came close. While my family enjoys getting together to celebrate Easter, nothing compares to the true joy of what we celebrate.
I heard a quote on Sunday morning at church that was just perfect to me...
"Death could not handle Him!"
While you're checking out how much fun everyone had this weekend, please remember that we're truly celebrating Jesus. He is so much more than the eggs, the baskets, and the pretty Spring clothes.
