Apples and Racing

I'm still trying to get caught up from the weekend!

Pigeon Forge, Tennessee is just a couple of hours away from us. They have absolutely anything you could possibly want to do there. We have to visit the Apple Barn every time we go.

Caleb was in rare form and showed off for Ryan's cousin the entire time. He was exceptionally well behaved for a 3.5 year old. I don't know about my husband, but I just kept waiting for the temper tantrums to turn loose. Didn't really happen, but I'm not going to question it!

We walked through the little Christmas shop on the property. He fell in love with this bear. Caleb loved all over it!

I just love when both of my guys cooperate for a picture!

This kid is seriously heavy! He's almost too much for me now.

I wasn't kidding about that whole "you can find anything in Pigeon Forge" thing... I look up and see King Kong. When I showed it to Caleb, I kinda forgot he doesn't understand what King Kong is. We must watch both versions now...

We stopped at our favorite go-kart track to ride The Wild Woody. It's an old wooden track that's been there as long as I can remember.

Caleb absolutely loved it! He kept saying, "Just run over them all, Mama!"
I swear I'm not teaching that kid how to drive one day!

Caleb was actually tall enough to drive one of the kiddie karts for the first time (he's well over three feet tall now). He was absolutely in love!

Caleb was so serious about racing another kid around the tiny track.

Totally cracked us up!

    1. Yes, yes, yes!!! Outlet shopping is fabulous, definitely see the aquarium, eat at the Apple Barn for sure, check out Wilderness at the Smokies if you're taking kids, Dollywood is worth going to. They literally have everything. No joke! Smokey Mountain Knife Works is my hubby's favorite. They have a Bubba Gump's in Gatlinburg now. Mountain Valley Winery is our favorite to visit, but the Apple Barn has one too. We've enjoyed staying at the Bearskin Lodge and Tudor Inn before. The cabin rentals are also worth every penny. Can you tell I love visiting?
