A Little Jack

On Friday, I was feeling pretty blah. I thought I was coming down with a summer cold, but I wanted to get checked out just in case. I just don't have time to be sick during the summer!

You can imagine my surprise when my strep test came back positive.
I honestly just felt exhausted with a sore throat, nothing that felt like strep.
I started antibiotics and got some much needed rest.

Saturday afternoon, we were all ready to get out of the house!

We wanted to do something indoors and decided to take the family to tour the Jack Daniels distillery in Lynchburg, Tennessee. It was a beautiful drive and we took our time to enjoy the scenery.

It was debatable on whether or not Caleb would cooperate for the tour.
His almost four year old attitude loses patience easily.

Luckily, he was pretty good!
I was so proud of him!

I have toured the distillery before, but this was Ryan's first time.
I'm a nerd so I totally enjoy the history lessons and the science behind the whiskey.

Caleb was pretty friendly with Jack...

I just love this boy!
There's never a dull moment and we're constantly laughing.

On the way back to Chattanooga, Ryan stopped by a restaurant I told him I used to eat at when I was a kid. It has been years since I've eaten at the Smokehouse and I got to share a piece of my past with my family.

Anyone else starting to notice how much taller Caleb is getting?
That kid is going to catch up with me when he's in elementary school...

  1. What a fun trip! I toured the distillery with my Dad one year on the way back to MTSU. I would love to do it again.
