Progression

Let's talk about determination and perseverance today.

I have so many of you who write to me each week. You want to know how I changed.

I want to be honest, I am still changing. I'm not done. It's a process that keeps evolving.

When I first started to lose weight, I had a certain goal in mind. I wanted to lose 60 pounds and return to my smallest weight as an adult. I just knew that when I got there I would be happy.

Once I reached the 60 pound mark, I realized that I wasn't done.

I had this desire to keep going to see how healthy/strong/toned I could actually get.
Ryan and I joke about it as a snowball effect....

Four years ago, I never dreamed I could be where I am. I never had this overall big picture plan. Every day, I just made healthier decisions. Slowly, but surely I got there. This journey isn't about some miracle, overnight weight loss pill. This is about choosing to live healthier every day.

My life isn't the same anymore. I am not the same person. You won't find me sitting in my chair after work every day. You'll find me beside my husband now working out. I keep going because I want to see what another year will bring. I keep going because I love seeing the progression.

Just make one healthy change at a time. They will add up! Once you get the hang of something, make another healthy change. Hang in there! I didn't lose weight the fastest. I'm not the skinniest, but I have some progress pictures I'm proud of.

Where can you be in a year?
