One thing I've realized from many of y'all is that it's just plain tough fitting it all in. I completely understand! I've been asked so many times how I do it. It's going to take several posts, but we'll get through this!

I'm a full time working-outside-the-home mom and wife. Life is busy and as my son grows older, he seems to have a busier social life. Gone are the days of working out while he sleeps. As our family changes, I have to find creative ways to fit it all in.
My Solution: Cleaning House!
We all have to do it (unless you are blessed with a housekeeper) and it's the perfect chance to burn some extra calories! If you consider cleaning part of your workout, you too can have a tidy, happy house while getting your behind in shape!
I want to show you some easy ways to build in a little extra workout while cleaning.
You've gotta clean anyways....you might as well get a little extra out of it, right???
I am OCD when it comes to keeping our home clean. When I clean, I don't half do a job. I go all out and with a lot of gusto. You know what that means? Extra calories are burnt! When you clean, I want you to be the Energizer bunny rabbit (Is that thing still around?? Will my kid even know what that means??? Probably not... but if you're old enough to be running a household you know what I'm talking about!)
When you walk from room to room....power walk it, baby!
My dad coached my brother's ball team when he was younger and the phrase that stuck with me was,
"I wanna see some hustle, guys!"
You're going to increase your heart rate and you will burn more calories. This is crucial! Plus you can accomplish a whole lot more around the house. Win/win, right?
Turn some music on!
While you're cleaning, shake that booty. If we're going to workout, we may as well make it fun! Burning calories does not have to be boring! Dancing can burn more than 150 calories every thirty minutes.
Carry your water with you as you go from room to room.
This is a great way to make sure you're drinking enough water throughout the day. When I complete a task, I drink some water. It's just a way I can remind myself to keep drinking it.
How much water should you be drinking each day?
Take your weight....Divide it in half.
That's how many ounces of water your body requires each and every day.
