Tips and Tricks - Christmas Recipes

Today we're talking about our favorite Christmas recipes!

Christmas morning my entire life has been the exact same. We have a very traditional Southern breakfast. There's not a year that passes we don't have country ham and red eye gravy.

Christmas morning wouldn't be the same without the smell of country ham cooking. It's the only time of the year I get to enjoy it and it's sooo good! My granddaddy passed it down to my parents. When Caleb was born, they passed it down to us.

Red Eye Gravy

1 lb country ham
1/2 cup coffee
3 T brown sugar (I use half of this myself)
2 cups water

First grab a cast iron skillet and throw in the ham pieces. Start stirring when the ham starts to juice. Pour in the coffee and brown sugar. Fill the skillet the rest of the way up with water. Bring to a boil and you’re done!
