Crazy Boy

This crazy kid has been entertaining us lately...

He has a minion impression....It's adorable.

My brother took Caleb fishing this weekend and they had the best time! Caleb caught several fish and had to hold every single one.

He sits on the bathroom counter with me every morning as I am putting on my makeup. And proceeds to ask several hundred questions in a ten minute time frame. Totally not kidding....

I hate to admit this and possibly jinx myself, but Caleb has finally passed the terrible two's and horrible three's. We were afraid the four's were going to be worse, but we've finally gotten into the groove of things. So much better!!!!!!

Motivation Monday

This weekend I went shopping for a new swimsuit. I'm pretty sure no matter how small I get, shopping for a new swimsuit will always rank high on my "I hate doing this" list. There's just something about getting into itty bitty clothes that display all of your imperfections...

But, I needed a smaller swimsuit this year. After trying several I found a hot pink one and kinda fell in love with it.

I had to convince myself over and over to not cover up and just enjoy the sunshine on Saturday. I ended up really enjoying the entire day.

What do you struggle with as you get smaller?

Confess Sesh

I confess.....
  • My kid concerns me sometimes. He comes up with these off the wall things and embarrasses me to no end.... Said things are totally not appropriate to be repeated here.
  • My blog is where I pour everything out. All the random thoughts....all the things I struggle with....everything I'm working through as a person. I don't normally do that in real life. I feel like there's this great divide between people I actually see every day and my blog. It's tough realizing that some friends and family do actually read here...
  • My husband doesn't read my blog. At all. Maybe like once ever...because I begged for his opinion maybe once.
  • My husband is my complete opposite. I honestly don't know how or why that even works.
  • I struggle with taking control of my life. In major decisions, I normally don't put my wants, wishes, or needs above others. Most of the time, I'm completely at peace with that. Other times....notsomuch.
  • I desperately want to write a book, but I have no idea what I'd put in it. I write everything out here and it's totally free. But still....I truly, madly, deeply want it.
  • I have this huge fear of rejection. Like no one would buy said book, or no one shows up to a Zumba® class I'm co-teaching, or once I get past the shyness new people really don't care for me at all. Totally dumb, but completely true.
  • Caleb is my mini-me. We're coming to terms with that.
  • Sometimes I wanna be the carefree person who completely goes with the flow. Then I remember I'm OCD, bossy, totally in charge and micromanage everything.
  • I automatically love anyone who lets me be me.....who challenges me....who accepts me (quirks and all)....and puts up with my chaos.
  • I am a hopeless romantic to the core. I just can't seem to help myself.
  • I naturally attract old fishermen. For some odd reason old guys who love fishing and bass boats try to charm me. I think it's adorable...
  • My husband doesn't seem to understand that I'm not a prissy girl. He seems to think I'm not capable of heavy lifting or something...
  • I have zero patience at times. Just the way I am...
  • I have a PJ fetish.... Like two whole drawers full of them. Anything snuggly is awesome...
  • You can always tell how I'm feeling by what I'm listening to. My choices in music directly reflect my moods/thoughts/whatever....

There ya go.....

Friday Randoms

All of my size 8 pants are getting loose. The people who love and adore me gave me money for my birthday this year. I decided to just try some 6's to see how they fit.

And they totally did! I even had some room in the waist.... Yay!

So stinkin' excited, y'all!

I've really been working on toning my stomach. I'm finally seeing the results of that and couldn't be happier!

I have maybe two areas that I'd love to work on and they're slowly getting there.

I've been spending plenty of time on the docks and hanging out in the sunshine. My job is absolutely fabulous... I get to look at the lake every single day. You could only beat it with maybe an ocean view.

I got to meet Murphy this week. He's a special pup.... He's a service dog. His owner is my buddy and they are absolutely loving each other. He's so sweet! This pup can open doors, bring just about anything to you, and other super awesome things I have yet to witness.

I'm throwing this in here just 'cause I can. I haven't braided my hair since elementary school... ta da.

That's all the random I've got for this week....

belVita and Oikos are my #MorningWin

I have partnered with belVita and Dannon to help promote the belVita and Dannon partnership. I have been compensated for my time commitment to the program, which includes writing about the promotion and product. However, my opinions are entirely my own and I have not been paid to publish positive comments.

I'm a full time mom and wife who works outside of the home. Mornings with a four year old can be chaotic and stressful. I pick out cute clothes....said four year old comes in wearing camo, rain boots, and plaid. Some days we battle it out....other days I let him express whatever creative fashion style he's envisioned.

There are some mornings that I simply cannot be Super Mom....Super Wife.... or super anything.... I'd love to fix scrambled eggs for my guys every morning, but it's not realistic.

Thanks to the new partnership of Crunchy belVita breakfast biscuits and Dannon® Oikos® Greek nonfat yogurt, I can lose some of the "mommy/wife of the year" guilt! Breakfast can be quick and easy walking out the door on our busy mornings.

belVita breakfast biscuits are made with delicious ingredients and carefully baked to give you steady energy all morning. They are available in five flavors (blueberry, golden oat, cinnamon brown sugar, chocolate, and apple cinnamon). I prefer the cinnamon brown sugar and golden oat. They are soooo good!

Dannon Oikos is made with a traditional Greek straining process that not only provides exceptional taste, but also a creamy-thick consistency to satisfy your taste buds. It's also an excellent source of protein. It contains twice the amount of protein compared to regular lowfat yogurt. With 0% fat, active yogurt cultures, and 80 to 130 calories per 5.3 ounce serving, Dannon Oikos nonfat Greek yogurt is a fabulous way to begin your day!

The most important start of our day is a healthy breakfast. When I skip breakfast, my weight loss slows dramatically. I get irritable and don't function as well at work. As busy as I am, I cannot afford to be sluggish and miserable!

Laura Stack, The Productivity Pro, has joined the initiation to provide tips on how you can get the most out of your mornings:

  • The secret to a smooth, sane morning is doing as much as you can the night before. Leave as little preparation as possible until the last minute - you'll thank yourself in the morning.
  • Spend twenty minutes at the end of each day planning your to-do list. When you download the next day's activities beforehand, you can devote your morning to enjoyment rather than stress.
  • Be sure to start your morning with a delicious, balanced breakfast. Together the nutritious steady energy of belVita and 12 grams of protein in Dannon Oikos Greek nonfat yogurt (along with a piece of fruit) will help you get more out of your morning.

If I have extra time in the mornings, I use my Dannon Oikos Greek nonfat yogurt in a smoothie. Just add one container of your favorite flavor, half a can of crushed pineapple, and some ice in the blender. Mix it together, grab some belVita breakfast biscuits, and you have a great breakfast!

Easter 2014

Ryan had a guys weekend in Tellico. Caleb and I drove up after the baby shower on Saturday. It was rainy and muddy. Easter Sunday was absolutely gorgeous and we spent time riding in the woods.

Ryan's new roll cage is finally finished (he built it himself) and we love it! It completely protects all three of us now. Caleb loves climbing around on it like a jungle gym.

We got some trail riding in before lunch. Nothing chills Caleb out like a Jeep ride. He can be in the foulest mood and suddenly he's quiet and happy when the Jeep starts. It's hilarious!

Ryan admits that his Jeep is definitely his favorite out of all the vehicles he's ever owned. He never leaves anything stock and the Jeep is totally customized now.

This sweet little girl spent the weekend in Tellico too. Zoey is just the cutest thing! I love her like crazy!

She is just filled with joy!

We hid eggs and turned the kids loose. This year was definitely more fun! They ran around searching and really got into it.

We came back for an early Easter dinner with my husband's family. There was more egg hunting. Caleb decided it was a great idea to hunt for eggs in his Jeep. Combine that with a massive yard and it turned into the longest egg hunt in the history of ever....

Caleb adores his Nana and Pa.

It was absolutely gorgeous out and we watched Caleb ride around in the yard.

We were blessed with a gorgeous weekend filled with our family and friends. Easter is such a special time for us and we enjoyed it so much this year.

Tea Parties and Showers

My mom and I hosted a tea party/baby shower for my sweet sister-in-law. I'm so close to having my first nephew that I can barely stand it! I'm not much of a baby person, but I admit that I dream of rocking that sweet little boy. It's been so long since I've been able to hold and snuggle an itty bitty!

We wanted to do something girlie for the baby shower....So there were plenty of big floppy hats, teacups, and dresses!

Ryan had a guys weekend in Tellico, so Caleb crashed the tea party.

He's really a little charmer.... I am 99% sure he gets that from his daddy.

My mom made a basket out of receiving blankets and filled it with baby stuff. My brother is a die hard Georgia Bulldog fan (yes, I am totally sickened) and his little boy will be decked out in black and red.

My sister-in-law makes such a pretty pregnant lady! I'm totally jealous!

My mom and I set everything up early and played around in our hats. It's not everyday we can waltz around in those things!

My date for the day was super cute too.

Motivation Monday

I love comparing my weight loss between life changing events. My sister-in-law is having her second baby soon. She and I were pregnant at the same time with Caleb and Zoey. We found out we were just a few weeks apart, so we got to share the experience together.

I'm the first one to tell you that I am thrilled I am not sharing this with her again! Some people look fabulous pregnant....I am not one of those people!

I was looking through some pictures of her first baby shower and thought I'd compare then and now....

I look a million times healthier! I never had that pregnancy glow!

I love seeing everyone's progress pics...Link 'em up!

Earth Footwear Butterfly Flats

Earth Footwear sent me a pair of their gorgeous shoes to review. They sent me a pair of flats from their Spring Collection! The camel color Butterfly flats are just too cute!

These shoes are just beyond comfortable!
There are some days I would love to wear cute flats to work, but I'm on my feet a lot. A normal pair of flats just kills my feet by the end of the day. These are completely different. They are extra padded and the leather lining doesn't leave blisters on my heels.
These flats are suede and neutral enough to go with just about anything.
They offer other colors that are so pretty!

I fell in love with several other styles from their Spring Collection. I have such a tough time finding comfortable, stylish shoes. Most days I'm comfy in my running shoes and yoga pants. When I'm not wearing my workout clothes, I want shoes that don't kill my feet. It's tough searching for pretty shoes that go with jeans or a cute dress. The best thing about Earth Footwear is every single shoe is actually comfortable! From flats to heels (and even cute boots), Earth Footwear has you covered.

Earth features a cushioned footbed for all day wear. The padded heel helps distribute the weight of each step and it helps prevent my lower back from hurting throughout the day. These beautiful shoes have plenty of arch support and a leather sock lining.

(This is going to sound completely gross, but you can walk around in them all day without worrying about sweaty feet and odor!)

These shoes are low maintenance too. I worried that they would be tough to keep clean, but that's not the case at all.
