Splish Splash

We planned an action packed family weekend for the kids. One of my "goals" on my weight loss journey was to finally visit a water park without feeling ashamed of my body. It's mostly an emotional and mental thing at this point. I still struggle with my chubby girl mentality at times so this was a big step for me. I know I'm not the same person anymore, but sometimes my mind likes to pretend that I am.

We didn't tell any of the kids where we were going. It became a bad decision with the smallest Del Signore. Two and a half hours of guessing.... Yep, fabulous.

We stopped to eat at the Hard Rock Cafe before heading to check in.

This man was so super sweet to me this weekend. He kept the kids in line and watched after everyone the whole time. I ended up with bronchitis and a sinus infection before the trip. By Friday, I had lost my voice. Imagine trying to keep all five of us together in a water park without yelling....

We visited Stages West in Pigeon Forge so that I could try on a pair of Miss Me jeans. I've been wanting some for sooo long, but never got a chance to try any on. I actually wear a size that's super exciting!

And I had to try on some cowgirl hats....

I finally found the perfect one....

We got to our room at Wilderness at the Smokies. Basically, you stay with them and get unlimited access to all three water parks on location. For a family of five, it's a great deal! The nicest part is that you have to stay with them to use the parks and that means you aren't completely overcrowded.

We stayed in a room with two queens and one fold out couch.

This little guy was so excited for his first water park! There were only two things he wasn't tall enough to ride. Everything else was wide open and he was beyond fearless!

This was my first time walking in a crowded area with just a swim suit on the entire weekend. No cover ups.... I walked around without fear of how I looked, what size I was, or any imperfections. I got to enjoy my family instead and it was such a blessing to me.

I still cannot believe how tall this guy is getting! He's four and a half, but is 46.5" tall. He's in the 97th percentile for both his height and weight.

We were excited!!!!

Madison and I rode a really crazy one together and it was awesome!

We played all day Friday and finally took a break for dinner and walking the strip in Gatlinburg. We didn't get to bed until after midnight. I was soooo exhausted!

This three are really close... Poor Bryce and Madison have to put up with a lot from the little one.

We got a pretty decent shot of our group in one of the rides on Saturday.

And we raced down tunnels together....

We had a great time together, but it was exhausting! Caleb ended up moody and tired.... Maybe next year will be a little easier!
