Saving Money with Walmart and the #WMTSavingsCatcher

I shopped savvy using Walmart Savings Catcher, as part of a sponsored post for Crowdtap and #WMTSavingsCatcher. All opinions are 100% my own (since we all know that I don't mind sharing my opinion on anything)!

I've seen plenty of commercials lately promoting the Walmart Savings Catcher app. I finally downloaded it onto my iPhone for free and got started last week.

I admit that I really want to save more money on everyday items, but I'm busy! Y'all, I don't have time to price match and clip coupons. I've tried! I seriously admire all of the ladies out there who do all of that. It's just beyond my comprehension. I have trouble matching this coupon with that coupon to get forty-seven items for free. Heck, I don't have the patience to sit and clip coupons, file them and then remember what I have to use before such and such date. One of my friends is beyond fabulous at this. She has this stockpile of amazing deals she's found. Her brain is just wired to find those amazing deals! She has tried to point me in the right direction with it, but I fail miserably!

Walmart has claimed for years that no one beats their prices. But it also took some work on my end. I'd have to show up with the competitor's advertised price and get them to match it. Like I'm going to actually remember to grab the ad and go through the hassle of getting someone to match it.... Imagine doing that for all of my groceries... Yeah, I'm totally not doing that!

Walmart has taken the initiative to comparison shop for me!

Walmart and Crowdtap wanted us to try it out. Caleb and I were excited to see how much money we could save.

My boys were tired from the beginning. This is exactly why I don't clip coupons or price match. When it comes to grocery shopping it's get in and get out with what little patience and sanity we have left.

We grabbed Greek yogurt, cottage cheese, fruit, whey protein, and some toiletry items.

As soon as we got in the car, I scanned our receipt. There's a bar code at the bottom of each receipt and that's all you need. Then the app takes over searching for all the best deals in your area.

This can take up to three days. But the app goes through each item and searches for lower prices. I did not buy anything that was on sale anywhere else. I already knew that Walmart had the lowest prices on what I needed for the week, but I am confident this will save me money in the future.

Some of my friends on Facebook chimed in and said they've saved anywhere from $13 to $17 already! It's just too simple not to try out!

When the Walmart Savings Catcher finds a better deal, your account will be credited the difference. Then you can turn around and use that in store towards your next shopping trip. What does that tell me? I can put my savings towards something fun for the whole family (new TV or the trampoline we've been looking at)! I'm curious to use this more with Christmas approaching. No more searching Best Buy or Toys R Us for the big ticket items. I think my family will see our biggest return there this year.

Y'all.....Can you imagine how our Black Friday shopping is going to change this year? Think about that for just a moment. Let it sink in....  I just gave you an idea to save plenty of time and money. You. Are. Welcome.

I love knowing that I got the most for my money. I hate worrying about who has the best deal and traveling around to different stores just to save a little bit extra. Instead of wasting my time and money, Walmart is totally helping me out!

  1. The commercial had the savings instantly which I found hilarious. I recently downloaded the app. Mom and I spent $114.36 on Thursday and Today (Monday) I received the email notification that we saved $3.26. I was initially excited until I read your FaceBook friends boasts.

    1. I'm pretty sure that was their total amount saved since they started using the app. Some have used it since the summer. I think $3.26 is pretty awesome for the first try!
