Measurements and Progress

When Paige VanDemark began coaching me, it was so secret that I was absolutely frustrated. I felt like I was putting in a whole lot of effort and not getting any results. In fact, I was even going backwards. My relationship with food was on the verge of unhealthy and I had eliminated some foods.
Paige stepped in to help me get back on track. I struggled with changing the way I approached eating. Just the idea of eating some types of carbs was overwhelmingly scary. What if I gained? What if this didn't work for me? What if I couldn't trust the process? What if I couldn't trust Paige?

A few weeks ago, I ate a baked potato for the first time in I don't know how long. At first it was almost like eating something forbidden. I enjoyed every single bite. I sat in the middle of a restaurant in pure joy and I knew that what I had been doing was completely wrong. I workout regularly and if I want to have a potato every now and then, I should be able to!

I also struggled with weight fluctuations. I had trained my mind to want to see the number on the scale drop daily. To me, that was real proof that my hard work was paying off. Sure, I read about others bloggers stepping away from the scale and having success. But that totally wasn't for me, right???

At the end of June, I was at an all time low weight. I weighed 141.5 pounds. I was beyond excited! Even though I was fighting my hardest and doing everything I knew how, my weight crept back up. It was so depressing!

Before I talk weight, I want to show you the measurements. The beginning measurements were from the day I began working with Paige. The measurements I am aiming for were taken the day I weighed 141.5 pounds.

As you can see, I am pretty close to where I was at my lowest weight. I've reached my goal on a few of them!

Are you ready to know my weight? As of this morning I am 152 pounds. Yes, the number still bothers me but not nearly as much as it did when Paige first started helping me. Yes, I weigh more than I did at my smallest and I am close to being the same size. I am toning!

I am really not that fabulous at getting my macros just right. Sometimes my sodium intake is too high. It is most definitely a learning process. Paige is so patient and encouraging!

We are working on a Q & A session with Paige for this week. Do you have any questions you'd like her to answer?

  1. I have the hardest time not going over my fat macros. Give me all the cheese, nuts, nut butter, avocados, and butter lol
You look great by the way! Good luck getting to your goal:)

    1. Thank you, Analisa! (Your name is beautiful, by the way....)

I think that's where I struggle a lot. I'm used to more protein and less fat. I admit I am enjoying my cheese guilt free now though!!!

  2. You look amazing!! I talked with Paige last week and will be giving her way a try. I am struggling with the carbs since I really don't eat that many to begin with and the thought of a potato is very scary!

    1. Thank you so much, Cindy! I'm thrilled you spoke with Paige!!!! I think we have similar struggles with carbs. I didn't realize how much I misunderstood about nutrition. Paige has been such a blessing to me!
