A Challenge

Let's talk about junk today, 'kay? 

Processed foods. Additives. "Diet" foods/pills. Things we aren't supposed to put in our bodies. 

What can they do for your weight loss? 

They one hundred percent sabotage your efforts! 

Remember how I talked about getting off track last week? 

Want to know what happened after just two days of eating better and drinking my water???

I lost 7.8 pounds. 

Seriously. My husband can totally vouch for me. I was whining and complaining on Monday morning about my weight gain. Wednesday morning, I was standing on the scale in shock. 

What does that mean? 

The processed junk I am eating makes me retain fluid and excess weight. I am super sensitive to processed foods, gluten and dairy. That's why Whole 30 is perfect for me. It gives me freedom to eat real food and not count calories.

In those two days, I ate very well. Pineapple, bananas, steak, baked potatoes, fresh veggies, avocados, eggs.... I enjoyed every single bit of it while losing weight. There's no secret to weight loss. There's no magical pill you can take. It's about quality nutrition. 

Give me two weeks. Commit to eat real foods for just 14 days. I guarantee you will feel drastically better than you do right now. We can do anything for 14 days. It's such a tiny portion of our lives. What do you have to lose? 


  1. What do you eat on your baked potato?

    1. Salt and pepper. Or sometimes I chop tomato and sprinkle cilantro on it. It's sooo good. Or shredded chicken... Just whatever I have.

  2. Yay on losing 7.8 pounds in a couple days! I am ready to start seeing a change in the number on the scale. Its been staying within the same 5 pounds for way to long.
