Instant Motivation

I've been losing weight for over three years now. That's a crazy long time to work towards a goal. In all honesty, it never stops. The goals just adjust, change and get a little more ambitious. In the past several months I've lost steam. I'd lose some, then I'd gain some. Back and forth. Over and over.

The thing I've been lacking is motivation. Things are pretty awesome and there's not a burning desire to reach a certain goal right now. I think it's actually pretty normal. I'm content most days and it took me a long time to find that. I'm quite proud of it.

But.... I have found a renewed sense of motivation. This week I booked our family beach vacation. I'm sorry but my chubby booty is not prancing around in the sand. It's time to tighten things back up and feel fabulous in a swimsuit.

Our Beach Trip Last September

I will be continuing with Whole 30 because it totally works! I have dropped one of my Zumba® fitness classes I was teaching. My work schedule is way too crazy right now so I am only going to teach twice a week. Hopefully this will be a good balance between taking care of myself, spending time with my family and working through our home renovation.

I thought I would share my weekly dinner menu with you for the next several nights....

Beef Hash
Pot Roast
Crockpot Chicken
Pork Chops

I'll show you how to make these meals later on this week....so hang in there!

Ladies who are participating with me, please check in and let me know how you're doing!

  1. Being in a bathing suit is my biggest motivation!!!!

  2. Hi Wendy!
You are such a motivation. Found your blog in a search for healthy weight loss. I've really enjoyed reading about your journey and were you are at now. I'm sure you get lots of e-mails/ questions like mine, but I'm really struggling with where to start. I don't need to loose a significant amount of weight, but as of my last pound I am now considered overweight. I would like to loose 20 lbs to feel healthy, 30 lbs to reach my overall goal weight. I try to find 30 minutes to get on the treadmill, but with a full time job and two kids at home sometimes the couch feels more appetizing at night (I know...it's an excuse). I guess I just don't know where to start. Do you have any suggestions for where you find good recipes? Did you need to measure your portions/ track your calories when you first started? Is the treadmill even going to help? Sorry for all the questions, but I would love some feedback from someone who has and is still successful with their weight loss.

    Thank you!

    1. Thank you so much, Crystal! We actually just started a challenge on the blog. You can jump in with us.... http://www.dailydoseofdelsignore.com/2015/05/taking-control.html

Just keep checking back in with me to let me know how you're doing!

  3. Been doing good not 100% but ten times better than a week and a half ago. Getting in quite a bit of activity of an evening and doing squats and wall pushups each restroom break and getting in all my water daily.

  4. So I started a Whole 30 modified approach and all was going well. Then my 40th birthday came, along with busy weekends and such. I got off my Whole 30, was still eating well, but not on spot. I was SO bloating and felt gross. Sunday I started back in, and have lost 3 pounds, it is crazy how much better you look/feel on eating whole foods!
