Rainy Holiday and a Prayer Request

I hope you've had a wonderful weekend with your friends and families! Our holiday weekend was a washout, but we still managed to have a great time together. That's kinda important in life, right? You make the best of what you have and just enjoy it!

On Friday, I ended up taking a half day off from work. The weather was yucky and not too many people want to use their boats when it's ugly out. So I took my crew to one of the local trampoline parks.

I admit that I am one of the biggest kids you will ever meet. The lady at the front counter asked if I was jumping with them and I said, "Of course!" Team Del Signore dominated in the dodge ball arena and we had a blast playing around. I've been overweight. I've been the mom sitting out watching everyone play. I refuse to do that anymore.

We picked up my husband after work and headed to the fireworks store. It was a mad house, but actually very well organized.

Caleb wanted one of everything! I cannot imagine how much money is spent at fireworks stores. Crazy expensive!

We had a break in the weather, so we squeezed in a campfire while waiting for dark.

My husband was thrilled to light things on fire and watch them explode. He's a big kid too....

Saturday we finally went to see Jurassic World. I was little concerned about taking Caleb, but we all wanted to see it. This is actually the first movie he sat through entirely and actually watched! It took man eating dinosaurs to get that kid to sit still. And we had no nightmares.

Ryan and I also emptied the old house completely. We left our king size bed at the old house to stage it and I had missed it dearly. Last night I put on new sheets and all new bedding and it was wonderful! Sinking into the fluffy mattress was fabulous. I had really missed my bed! I slept great and woke up with a lot less back pain. Finally!!!

If you pray, would you take a moment to pray with us this week? Ryan and I are hoping to close on the old house towards the end of the week. We are praying that things go smoothly with closing and the new owners will love and enjoy our house for many years. It has been a little sad letting go of the house that we started our family in, but we are blessed with so many new opportunities at the new house. Just pray for our family and the new family during this week. We appreciate each and every one of you who have wished us well and prayed for us during this time. It means so much to us!

  1. Hope all goes well with your house sale. I know they are stressful and full of hurry up wait then wait some more. I work at a title company and see the process from contract signing to closing. I will send lots of good thoughts and prayers your way that it gets all done and over this week. Its hard letting go of a house you started your family in but now you are in a bigger place that your family can grow with. Wish we had a trampoline park in our are I would so love to take the kids and be the big kid and play too.
