Dining Room Reveal

I'm excited to show you our first room reveal for the new house. Over the past couple of weeks, I have rediscovered my motivation and energy after suffering a chronic illness. Sharing this room with you today feels like a big declaration of progress for me physically and mentally.

Ryan and I have lived here since April and we've made some major changes to the home. We ripped up all of the flooring in the kitchen, dining room, living room, hallway, and all of the bedrooms. We painted all of the walls and crown molding and installed new baseboards throughout the house. We work at a marina and the summer months are obviously our busiest times. Now that things have slowed down and cooler weather has arrived, we are able to jump back into our home projects!

Our first complete room is the heart of our home. I have dreamed of my own dining room for about as long as I can imagine. Our old home had a space for a small table in the kitchen. Now I have an area that can pull off big family meals and I cannot wait to have our families sitting around the dining room table.

Before, the room was used as my husband's grandparents' living room. They spent many hours sitting side by side looking out the sliding glass door. They loved nature and everything about the great outdoors.

We thought it would be easier to transform this room filled with so many memories into a completely different space for our family.

I collect wine glasses, gorgeous dishes, and cookbooks. I finally have room to store everything now and that just makes my heart so happy.

I shared this on Instgram, you can follow me {HERE}, as we were setting things up. This hutch was built by my husband's grandfather. He dated it at the top and it is 20 years old now. It's the perfect piece for all of my yellow and blue decor. We wanted to bring a country feel to the kitchen and this really fits in nicely.

My husband bought me this sign for Valentine's Day for our new home. I absolutely fell in love with it.

I have two decorating projects left for this space, but I am thrilled with the way they turned out. I am listing our paint color, lighting, and flooring at the bottom.

    1. We hung them at 12" and 14" alternating between the two. It turned out so cute! Did you know you can use mason jars for the glass too? It would be so adorable, but we have a lot of Ball jars going on already!
