Orange Creamsicle Cake Balls

I was playing around in the kitchen this week and came up with the idea to make cake balls using the new Pillsbury Orange Creamsicle mix and frosting line.

I baked the orange creamsicle cake according to the package directions.

The moment it came out of the oven, I dumped it in a large mixing bowl and started crumbling it up...

The I added the whole tub of orange creamsicle icing and started mixing it all together.

It looks like this:

Using a small melon ball scooper, I scooped out the cake balls and laid them on a pan covered in aluminum foil. This keeps everything from sticking all over my pans. It gets messy!

I stuck them in the freezer to harder a bit. Then I heated my white chocolate and spread it on top.

I covered half in regular chocolate.

I drizzled some more on for good measure...
You really can't have enough chocolate, right???

After they cooled, they were ready to be eaten!

These are really simple and amazingly good!

  4. I always wish I could come up with something creative. That stuff just never hits me. I was walking down the baking aisle and noticed the new cake mixes. I love chocolate and orange together and cake balls threw it all together. I'm normally not that creative!
