Saturday morning, Ryan and I finished week one of Insanity. We had to run outside to cool off! This program has pushed me hard, but I felt so amazing when I realized that I actually made it through the first week. I didn't quit. I didn't give up. I hung in there. It was pretty...at all, but I still did it.
I've never tried to hide the fact around here that I don't particularly want to work out. If I could keep losing weight by only controlling my diet, you better believe I would. But after I lost the first fifty pounds and everything slowed down, I realized that wasn't going to be the case.
Sure, I can lose a lot of weight by eating less or eating healthier. But, I'm not going to get any muscle tone that way. Sad, but true. So, I've had to work for it. I felt great this week when my husband made a comment about seeing some muscle definition in my stomach and calves. Already! How can you work out for six days and actually see a real difference? Yep...Insanity.
I actually measured Saturday morning. We took our measurements last week before I started Insanity and Shakeology. After six days, I have lost an inch in my waist, an inch in my abdomen, and an inch from my hips! I've lost some in my legs as well. The most surprising thing though was that all of my measurements have evened out. My left arm was always slightly larger than my right. One calf was a tad larger than the other. Now they are all the exact same. Crazy, right?!?
