Motivation Monday - Healthy Valentine's Dinners

When I think about showing my love for my husband, I think of ways that I can better take care of him. I know that feeding my loved ones good, quality meals without processed foods is the best way I can care for them.

For Valentine's Day we normally have a big steak cooked on the grill. Steamed veggies and sweet potatoes go nicely with it.

Another great option is seafood. Boiled shrimp and crab legs are definitely the way to my husband's heart! Stores will often run specials on lobster tail this time of year also. You could pair it with a salad and some corn.

Dessert is normally where our healthy meals go wrong! I think it's okay to have a little bit of chocolate from time to time. I absolutely love chocolate. But, if you have a treat you may as well do it right. Chocolate dipped strawberries have just a little chocolate, but plenty of sweetness.

If you really don't want to get off track, you can always fix my Berries with Honey-Yogurt Sauce

  2. Yum! Those all sound so good! My husband and I will be on a snowmobile trip with friends, so I'm not sure about my healthy options... I'm going to try, but we fly by the seat of our pants on this trip and never know where we'll end up! Have a great Valentine's Day!

  4. Daniel and I always stay home on Valentine's Day. We don't see a reason to crowd out with everyone. We are cooking together this year and are trying to decide on a new recipe to try. It's going to be a great evening!!
